Wire mesh fencing (also called ringlock or hinge joint) is the most common choice for general livestock containment — it is durable, cost-effective and suits cattle, sheep and goats. Post and rail is preferred for horse paddocks as it is highly visible and prevents injury. Electric fencing is popular for temporary paddock rotation.
Farm fencing in Sydney is priced per metre for wire mesh fencing with treated timber posts, depending on wire gauge, post spacing and terrain. Post and rail fencing runs a quoted rate per metre. Custom farm gates are priced separately. We provide free on-site quotes for all rural fencing projects.
Yes. We supply and install custom farm gates including single and double swing gates, sliding gates and cattle yards gates. Gates can be galvanized steel or powder-coated and sized to suit your vehicle and livestock access requirements. We also install cattle grids on request.
We service rural and semi-rural properties across Greater Sydney including the Hills District, Penrith, Camden, Campbelltown, Hawkesbury, Wollondilly and surrounding regions. We can quote on properties from small hobby farms to larger livestock operations.
Most rural boundary and internal farm fencing is exempt development under NSW planning rules and does not require council approval. However, fencing near waterways, heritage items or protected vegetation may have additional requirements. We advise on any approval requirements during the free site visit.
