Automatic, Sliding & Swing Driveway Gates
Custom-fabricated aluminium, steel and timber gates. Motor, intercom and keypad options. Free on-site quotes across Sydney.
Fencing and Landscaping Experts design, fabricate and install custom driveway and pedestrian gates across Greater Sydney — automatic sliding gates, motorised swing gates, manual gates and pedestrian side-access gates. We work with powder-coated aluminium, Colorbond steel, wrought iron and hardwood timber, and we custom-fabricate to your exact driveway width and design requirements.
For driveway automation, we supply and install BFT, FAAC and Centurion gate motor systems with keypad entry, remote control and video intercom options. If you have an existing gate in good condition, we can often retrofit a motor without replacing the gate itself. We also install access control systems for commercial and industrial sites.
We serve residential customers across Western Sydney, the Hills District, Campbelltown, Parramatta and surrounding areas. Commercial and industrial gate installations are also available. Free on-site quotes with written breakdowns provided across all Sydney areas.
From manual pedestrian gates to fully automated driveway systems — we advise on the best solution for your site.
Electric sliding gates on a rack and pinion drive — smooth, reliable and suited to sloping driveways where swing gates can't open downhill. Remote, keypad and intercom options available.

Custom driveway gates in Sydney are quoted after a free site measure for manual aluminium swing gates, a competitive price for manual sliding gates, and a competitive price+ for fully automatic systems with motor, intercom and keypad. Price depends on gate width, material, motor type and access control requirements.
Swing gates open on hinges and require clearance space — suited to flat driveways with adequate opening space. Sliding gates roll sideways on a track — better for sloping driveways or sites with limited clearance. Both can be motorised. We advise on which suits your driveway during the free quote.
Gates at or below front fence height (usually 1.2m) generally don't need council approval in most Sydney LGAs. Taller gates or heritage areas may need a DA. We advise on your specific council requirements during the free quote.
Powder-coated aluminium (most popular — rust-proof and low-maintenance), Colorbond steel, wrought iron and hardwood timber. Aluminium slat gates suit modern homes; steel suits period properties. We custom-fabricate to your exact measurements.
Yes — we supply and install BFT, FAAC and Centurion gate automation systems with remote control, keypad entry and video intercom. Automation can be added to new gates or retrofitted to existing gates in good condition.
Most Sydney driveways fall between 3.0m and 4.5m clear opening for a single vehicle, and 5.0m to 7.0m where two cars pass or a caravan needs access. The opening drives everything else: a single swing leaf beyond about 4m starts to sag and needs a heavier frame, so wider openings usually move to a double swing or a slider.
Measure between the finished faces of the piers or posts, not the driveway edges, and check the fall across the opening. More than about 100mm of fall over the opening will stop a swing gate clearing the ground on the downhill side, which pushes the job towards a sliding gate or a raked bottom rail.
Sliding gates run on a ground track and need a clear run-back roughly equal to the opening width plus 300mm. They suit narrow front setbacks and steep driveways because the leaf never swings over the slope.
Cantilever gates carry the leaf on a counterbalanced tail with no ground track, so nothing crosses the driveway to collect leaves or gravel. They need more run-back, typically 1.5 times the opening, but they are the most reliable option where the driveway floods or fills with debris.
Swing gates are the most economical for a level driveway with room to open inwards. Check that the arc clears parked cars, bins and the letterbox before committing to a swing.
Motor choice follows duty cycle. A residential driveway opening a few times a day suits a standard-duty operator; a shared driveway or small business with 50 or more cycles a day needs a continuous-duty motor or it will overheat and fail early.
Australian requirements for powered gates cover force limitation and entrapment protection. We fit photoelectric safety beams across the opening, set the motor's obstruction sensing at commissioning, and install a manual release so the gate can be opened by hand during a power outage. Battery backup keeps a gate operable through a blackout.
Access options range from simple remotes and a keypad through to intercom with video, mobile-app control, and vehicle detection loops set into the driveway for automatic exit. On shared driveways we can pair multiple remotes to a single controller and add a fire-brigade key switch where required.
Gates and fences on the front boundary are subject to height limits that vary by council and by zoning, and gates must not swing out over the footpath. Where a driveway crossover is being widened or relocated at the same time, that work is approved separately by the council. We flag both at quoting stage so nothing stalls mid-installation.
