Replacing a rotting, leaning or storm-damaged fence in Sydney — old fence removed and disposed of, new one built on new footings.
Fencing and Landscaping Experts provide fence replacement across Sydney, including the North Shore, Northern Beaches, Forest District, Hills District, western Sydney, the Sutherland Shire and Macarthur. The service is the full job: the old fence comes out, the footings and debris go with it, and the new fence goes up on fresh concrete rather than into the holes the last one left. Per lineal metre supplied and installed, after a free on-site measure. Building since 2016, licensed in NSW and insured to $20 million. Phone 0492 879 796.
Fence Replacement in Sydney is the full job: the old fence comes out, the footings and debris go with it, and the new fence goes up on fresh concrete rather than into the holes the last one left. We have been building across Sydney since 2016, from the western suburbs through to the North Shore, Northern Beaches and Forest District.
Old fences almost never fail at the panel — they fail at the post. That is why we do not reuse existing holes or leave old concrete in the ground, and why every replacement is set out fresh with new footings sized for the new fence's height and wind load.
Conditions change dramatically across Sydney, and so does the right specification — sandy coastal ground, reactive clay on the ridges, sandstone shelf on the harbour slopes and bushfire prone land against the national parks all lead to different answers for the same brief. The breakdown by region is below.

Same height and style as the existing fence, rebuilt properly on new footings.
Swapping a failing paling fence for low-maintenance Colorbond in your chosen colour.
Taking the chance to go taller, add lapping, or move to aluminium slat while the fence is down.
Fast turnaround on fences brought down by wind, falling limbs or flooding.
Replacing only the failed section or bay where the rest of the run is still sound.
Non-compliant or corroded pool barriers replaced and rebuilt to AS 1926.1.
Upper North Shore: Most Upper North Shore replacements are 20 to 40 year old timber that has finally gone at ground level. Because the trees have grown since it was built, the new fence line often has to be reset around roots that were not there originally.
Lower North Shore: On the Lower North Shore the site is usually harder than the job: narrow frontages, shared driveways and sandstone shelf mean footings are often cored rather than dug.
Northern Beaches: A large share of the fences we replace on the Northern Beaches did not rot — they corroded, because standard galvanising was used within reach of ocean salt. Replacing like for like just restarts the same clock.
Forest District: Replacing a fence in the Forest District is the natural moment to move off treated pine to a non-combustible material, since bushfire mapping has changed for many of these blocks since the original fence went up.
Fence Replacement is quoted on the specifics of the site — material, height or wall face area, ground conditions and access. Because those vary so much across Sydney, we give a fixed written price after a free on-site measure rather than a per-metre figure over the phone.
Right across the metropolitan area, including the Upper and Lower North Shore, Northern Beaches, Forest District, Hills District, western Sydney, the Sutherland Shire and the Macarthur region.
It depends on the scale and the location. Standard work within exempt development criteria generally does not; extra height, front boundaries, retaining walls over the 600mm retaining wall exempt threshold, heritage items and bushfire prone land generally do. We identify the path before quoting.
Yes — NSW contractor licensed and carrying $20 million in public liability cover on every job.
Most residential work is completed in one to a few days once materials are on site. Larger and engineered jobs are programmed with a clear timeline set out in the quote before work starts.
Four things, in roughly this order: the material and specification, the size or height, the ground conditions — rock, reactive clay and sand all change how footings are formed — and access, since material that has to be hand-carried costs more in labour than material delivered to the work. None of those four is visible from a photograph, which is why the quote follows a site measure and is then fixed in writing.
