Which of the seven factors that increase fencing cost apply to your job? Answer four questions and find out, then get an exact quote from a site visit.

This tool does not produce a figure, and no honest tool could. It tells you which of the factors that move a fencing quote apply to your job, so you can compare quotes properly and brief us accurately.
Fill in the form and select Show my cost drivers to see which factors apply to your job.

A fencing estimate generated from a few dropdowns cannot account for the things that actually move the price, which are all on the site. We would rather give you something genuinely useful: a clear statement of which cost drivers apply to your job, so you can brief contractors properly and compare their quotes on scope rather than on the headline number.
Two identical Colorbond runs, one on a flat block with truck access and one on a stepped, rock-affected boundary reached only by barrow, involve different labour, different footings and different materials. A calculator that returns the same figure for both is not saving you time, it is setting up a conversation that starts with a revision.
Everything you enter stays in your browser. Nothing is stored and nothing is sent anywhere.
Use it as a briefing document and as a checklist. Give every contractor the same description of the job, then ask each one how they have allowed for each factor the tool has flagged. Quotes that look wildly different almost always differ on scope, and this is how you see it.
When you are ready for a real number, call 0492 879 796. We measure the run, photograph the fall and put an itemised quote in writing.
Because a price generated from four dropdowns would be wrong often enough to be useless, and misleading the rest of the time. The factors that move a fencing quote in Sydney are site factors: the fall along the boundary, what the ground does at post depth, whether a truck can get close, and what has to come out first. This tool identifies which of those apply to your job so you can brief contractors accurately and compare quotes on scope.
Slope or a difference in levels between the two properties, ground conditions at post depth, removal and disposal of an existing fence, restricted site access, gates and hardware, whether council approval or certification is likely required, and a short run where fixed costs are spread over fewer metres. Any one of them can outweigh the choice of material.
On a flat suburban boundary it is usually the removal and disposal of the old fence. On a sloping block it is almost always the level change, because stepping, plinths or retaining are involved. On a steep or tight site it is access, because hand carting materials affects every stage of the job rather than one line item.
No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere or saved. If you want a quote, you contact us separately with the details, either by phone or through the contact form.
Select not sure. Ground conditions are genuinely hard to judge from the surface, and guessing wrong will skew the picture. As a rough guide, most of western and south western Sydney is reactive shale clay, the northern suburbs and the Sutherland Shire are frequently sandstone, and the coastal suburbs are sand. We check it properly on site.
Two things. Use it to brief every contractor identically so their quotes are comparable, and use it as a checklist of questions: how is the fall being handled, is removal and tipping included, what footing depth is allowed for this ground, and what hardware is on the gates. Then call us on 0492 879 796 for a site visit and an itemised written quote.
